Voyager Hats and Hoods Policy

Students may choose to wear hats and hoods within the common areas of the building (hallways, commons, office, etc) during the school day as long as the wearing of the head attire does not violate the Dress Code Policy above. Within the classroom, including the library, teachers have the discretion to create classroom norms/agreements/expectations regarding the wearing of hats and hoods.

Enforcement of Classroom Expectations

It is the expectation that teachers will clearly communicate expectations regarding hats/hoods to students (and families) including posting signage to help remind and support student behaviors. Typical consequences for a violation of a classroom policy include reflection, intervention conversations, room service, and parent contact (including a parent/teacher/student conference if needed).  Building administration will support the classroom expectations that follow the policies above.
